Steve Carell cast opposite Tina Fey in Netflix comedy series The Four Seasons

Steve Carell has been tapped to star opposite Tina Fey in The Four Seasons. The Netflix comedy series is based on the 1981 Universal film of the same name, which Fey co-created with former 30 Rock colleagues Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield.



Carell (pictured) comes to the project after starring opposite Fey in the 2010 comedy Date Night, directed for Fox by Shawn Levy. Details about the role he plays are not yet known.

Written and directed by Alan Alda, produced by Martin Bregman and starring Alda and Carol Burnett, the film Four Seasons tells the story of three couples who vacation together each season.

The Four Seasons comes from Universal Television and Fey's production company Little Stranger, Inc. and is produced by Fey, Fisher, Wigfield, David Miner, Eric Gurian and Jeff Richmond.

Alda and Marissa Bregman are producing the series, written by Fey, Fisher and Wigfield, which will go into production later this year.

Carell has appeared in the series The Patient from FX, which he also produced, The Morning Show from Apple TV+ and Space Force from Netflix. This summer, the actor will star in John Krasinski's animated family film IF, out May 24 via Paramount.
