Gunn announced the news on Instagram on Friday, revealing that Grillo (pictured below) will play Rick Flag Sr. will reprise the character he voices in Gunn's upcoming animated series Creature Commandos.

Gunn teased last month that Season 2 had begun production and shared a photo from the set. He also noted that for Peacemaker Season 2, he would “be directing some of the episodes” like in Saturday’s shoot, “But there are three other great directors joining me for the season.”
Gunn wrote all eight episodes of the first season of Peacemaker (2022) and directed five, including the first. Gunn, Safran and Matt Miller serve as executive producers of the series, with Cena as co-executive producer and Stacy Littlejohn as consulting producer.
Peacemaker (2022) is based on DC characters and is produced by Gunn's Troll Court Entertainment and The Safran Company in association with Warner Bros Television.
Grillo had regular roles on Audience Network's series Kingdom and ABC's The Gates. He also appeared in a recurring role on Showtime's Billions and Fox's Prison Break.
