Jackson Pace Becomes Regular in Season 5 of 9-1-1: Lone Star

Wyatt will be a regular in the upcoming season of 9-1-1: Lone Star.
Jackson Pace, who has starred as Wyatt Harris since season three, has been promoted to a series regular for season five. Pace appeared in nine episodes of the series up until the most recent season four and will appear in every episode of season five, which premieres Monday, September 23 on Fox.

Pace's promotion follows the departure of Sierra McClain, who reportedly quietly left the show amid drama surrounding cast renegotiations and speculation that season five will be the series' final chapter.

Wyatt (Pace, pictured) was introduced in season three when he arrived at Fire Station 126 in Austin to replace firefighter Judd Ryder (Jim Parrack) to tell him that he was his son (as a result of a relationship years earlier) and although he was completely different, he eventually bonded with his new father and his family (wife Grace and their daughter Charlie). After graduating high school, Wyatt surprised Judd by announcing that he had dropped out of college to become a firefighter and that he and his girlfriend were expecting a baby.

But when Wyatt was hit by a truck while riding his bike, tragedy struck. Although Wyatt survived the accident, his severe injuries left him partially paralyzed and likely never to walk again. This prompted Judd to quit his job at Fire Station 126 and move Wyatt in with his family to provide in-home care. As the new season begins, Wyatt must navigate the world after the accident that will connect him to the 126.

9-1-1: Lone Star follows the members of Austin’s 126 Fire Department, led by Captain Owen Strand (Rob Lowe), who, along with his adult son T.K. (Ronen Rubinstein), relocated to Texas to help rebuild the firehouse that had itself suffered a tragedy.

His team of diverse and qualified first responders includes widowed Paramedic Captain Tommy Vega (Gina Torres); Judd Ryder (Jim Parrack), who was the sole survivor of Austin’s original 126 squad after a rescue call ended in tragedy; Marjan Marwani (Natacha Karam), an adrenaline junkie and tough firefighter who is also a devout Muslim; Paul Strickland (Brian Michael Smith), a transgender male firefighter who bravely decided to transition while working in Chicago and has a talent for observation worthy of Sherlock Holmes; and rookie firefighter Mateo Chavez (Julian Works).

T.K. settled into his new home and caught the attention of police officer Carlos Reyes (Rafael Silva). The two began a romantic relationship and eventually married in the season four finale. T.K. hung up his fire helmet to become a full-time paramedic under Tommy’s tutelage and works closely with colleague Nancy Gillian (Brianna Baker).

9-1-1: Lone Star is produced by 20th Television in association with Ryan Murphy Television and Brad Falchuk Teley-Vision. Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear are the creators, executive producers and writers of the series. Bradley Buecker is an executive producer and directed multiple episodes of the series. Rashad Raisani, John J. Gray, Angela Bassett, Rob Lowe, Carly Soteras and Wolfe Coleman are the executive producers.

Pace played the series regular role of Chris Brody on Homeland and has appeared in The Right Stuff and The Walking Dead.
