9-1-1 is een Amerikaanse actie dramaserie van de zender FOX. De serie ging in première op 3 januari 2018.
9-1-1 onderzoekt de ervaringen van de politie, ambulancepersoneel en brandweerlieden die onder hoge druk moeten werken. Onder de meest extreme omstandigheden komen zij terecht in beangstigende, schokkende en hartverscheurende situaties. Daarnaast hebben zij natuurlijk ook nog een eigen privéleven. Het is dan ook vaak lastig om dit werk te combineren met hun eigen leven. Onder andere agente Athena Grant, commissaris Bobby Nash en brandweerman Evan "Buck" Buckley riskeren elke dag weer hun eigen leven om dat van anderen te kunnen redden.

They show real events. The beginning is chaotic, but after a number of episodes you get to know the characters and their environment! I think it is a wonderfully light series

I started following this series because I was in the mood for something light-hearted, a sympathetic guilty pleasure genre like 'Chicago Med' or 'Ghost Whisperer'. But man, was I surprised by how fun 9-1-1 was, which far exceeded my expectations. Peter Kraus (although not my favorite actor) is stunning as Bobby. I had never seen him work like this before and I had to reconsider my opinion of him. Angela Basset (Athena in the series) is great, as always, that woman is simply an Oscar-worthy actress, but everyone already knew that, haha! Actually, all the actors are just great in their performances. I have a special place in my heart for Jennifer Love Hewitt and she will also be joining us from season two, as the sister of one of the fire fighters of the 118th battalion in LA. Why do I like the series so much? Because the stories are really about people. Yes, it's over the top (at times) and yes, it's all drizzled with a thick sauce of American patriotism and 'do the right thing' preachers, but the stories about the private lives of the main characters are just as compelling as those in say 'Ozark' or 'This is Us'. Highly recommended for people who are looking for a guilty pleasure, or for laugh and tear stories.

A lot happens in an episode. That actually makes it quite unique. But sometimes it is a bit too much because you would like to see just a little more of an emergency.

Nice series, but it is a bit over the top. This fire brigade team constantly experiences the most extreme situations. I also find some things a bit unrealistic, such as that Chimney is still alive after that car accident where he gets a steel spear in his head. But still the series looks nice and it is certainly not bad, but compared to other Ryan Murphy series (AHS, ACS, Pose, Feud, Scream Queens and Glee) this one is a bit less

I've seen the first season. This series is not up to Chicago Fire for me. Slightly too many beautiful people in this series, slightly over the top. Less action and more drama. Looks nice. It is a pity that I now have to wait a week before I can watch again. I'm hardly used to that anymore.
