A drama series based on the novella The Hedge Knight by George R.R. Martin, the visionary whose A Song of Ice and Fire inspired Game of Thrones. Set a century before the events of that series, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms watches two unlikely heroes journey across Westeros... a young, naive but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall (Claffey), and his diminutive squire, Egg (Ansell).

At a time when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne and the memory of the last dragon has not yet been erased from living memory, great destinies, powerful enemies and dangerous exploits await these unlikely and incomparable friends.

The series is written by Martin and Ira Parker (House of the Dragon), who are producing alongside Ryan Condal, Vince Gerardis, Owen Harris and Sarah Bradshaw. As previously announced, Harris will direct the other three episodes.

Bennett recently played Officer Peter Prior in HBO's True Detective: Night Country. His past credits include roles in HBO's The Nevers, Sky Atlantic/MGM+'s Domina and ITV's Liar. Bennett will soon be seen in Netflix's Black Doves opposite Keira Knightley.

Carvel recently portrayed former Prime Minister Tony Blair in Netflix hit The Crown and can also be seen as the title character in Acorn TV's Dalgliesh. He went on to appear in the British BBC miniseries The Pale Horse, ITV miniseries The Sister, Channel 4 crime thriller miniseries Baghdad Central, and many others.

In addition to Hulu's Tiny Beautiful Things, Crawford has appeared on Australia's Swift Street and Servant on Apple TV+.

Ings recently starred opposite Theo James and Kaya Scodelario in Netflix's hit series The Gentlemen and previously appeared in series such as MGM+'s The Winter King, BBC's The Gold, Sex Education and The Crown, both from Netflix.

Spruell recently played a memorable role as the villain Ole Munch in the fifth season of FX's Fargo and has also appeared in series such as BBC's Doctor Who, FX's The Bastard Executioner and TNT's The Last Ship.

Smith won a DGA Award for her work on Apple TV+'s Lessons In Chemistry, which she also produced. She also directed episodes of series such as Hulu's Looking For Alaska, Prime Video's Hanna, FX's Legion and HBO's Room 104.
