Michael Sheen transforms into Prince Andrew in trailer for A Very Royal Scandal

The trailer for the latest project about Prince Andrew has been released.
A Very Royal Scandal, which opens in two weeks, stars Michael Sheen as the disgraced prince and Ruth Wilson as his interviewer Emily Maitlis.

A Very Royal Scandal

A Very Royal Scandal is a three-part television series unlike Scoop, the Netflix film starring Rufus Sewell and Gillian Anderson, which is also about Prince Andrew. It is the third season in the anthology series that Amazon previously produced with the BBC, following A Very English Scandal and A Very British Scandal, although it will only be shown on Prime Video. Unlike Scoop, Maitlis is involved in this series as an executive producer.

The trailer shows Maitlis (Wilson) pursuing the story that would make her a global household name and destroy the prince's reputation at a pivotal moment in British history, as he succumbed to questions about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and made a sea of humiliating statements.

Along with Sheen and Wilson, the cast will include Joanna Scanlan as Amanda Thirsk, Alex Jennings as Sir Edward Young, Éanna Hardwicke as Stewart Maclean and Claire Rushbrook as Sarah Ferguson. Newly revealed additional cast members include Nicholas Burns as Mark Gwynne, Lydia Leonard as Esme Wren, Alexander Owen as Jake Morris, Clare Calbraith as Sam Mcalister, Sam Troughton as Donal Mccabe, Honor Swinton Byrne as Princess Beatrice and Sofia Oxenham as Princess Eugenie.

The series is directed by Julian Jarrold and written by Jeremy Brock. The series was produced by Blueprint Television for Amazon MGM Studios and distributed worldwide by Sony Pictures Television.

Karen Thrussell, Graham Broadbent, Pete Czernin, Diarmuid McKeown, Jeremy Brock, Jarrold and Maitlis himself are the executive producers. Josh Hyams is a producer of the series.
