It features the younger Máximo (Enrique Arrizon), who works hard in 1985 to continue his climb up the ladder of success. In the present, the elderly Máximo (Eugenio Derbez) returns to a Las Colinas that he no longer recognizes.
Season three of the Apple TV+ series kicks off with the first two episodes on Wednesday, May 1, followed by new episodes every Wednesday through June 26.
In addition to Derbez and Arrizon, the cast also includes Fernando Carsa, Damián Alcázar, Camila Perez, Vanessa Bauche, Regina Reynoso, Raphael Alejandro, Jessica Collins, Rafael Cebrián, Regina Orozco, Carlos Corona and Karen Rodriguez.
Jaime Camil and Cristo Fernandez will appear in recurring guest roles this season.
The Lionsgate Television series is inspired by the hit How to Be A Latin Lover from 3Pas Studios and Pantelion Films and is produced for Apple by Lionsgate Television, 3Pas Studios, Zihuatanejo Productions and The Tannenbaum Company. Derbez not only stars in the series, but is also an executive producer, along with Ben Odell.
Acapulco was created by Austin Winsberg, Eduardo Cisneros and Jason Shuman. Winsberg also produces alongside Sam Laybourne, who serves as showrunner and executive producer. Kim and Eric Tannenbaum and Jaime Eliezer Karas are producing with Jason Wang on behalf of The Tannenbaum Company and Paul Presburger.
