Lightly presented and lightly substantiated facts are reviewed in this docuseries. We learn, for example, that the "tradition" of sealing a marriage proposal with a diamond engagement ring only started after an advertising campaign in 1938 by van de Beers, who had / has virtually the world monopoly of diamonds. That the idea that fingerprints are unique is based only on an, not scientifically substantiated, statement by Sir Francis Golden from 1892 and that most forensic techniques used today appear to be barely watertight. Or that the usual checks at airports and the like are more to give us a false sense of security than actually contribute to that security, and so much more. All in all, a nice snack for those who like "did-you-know", where each episode has a different topic but that never gets very serious or profound.
