Alert: Missing Persons Unit renewed for a third season

Fox has given Alert: Missing Persons Unit a third season.

The renewal of the procedural drama, starring Scott Caan and Dania Ramirez, was already expected.

To make filming more cost-efficient for series producers Sony Pictures Television and Fox Entertainment, Alert will remain in ongoing production and transition from the shortened second season to season three, the number of episodes of which has not yet been announced.



There's an added benefit of filming seasons two and three back-to-back: Fox has fresh episodes of the series in case production is disrupted by an IATSE strike this summer.

Nothing is known yet about The Cleaning Lady (US), that other excellent drama series from Fox. However, sources report that things are also looking good for this series in terms of innovation.

Alert: Missing Persons Unit is set in the Missing Persons Unit (MPU) of the Philadelphia Police Department. Each episode focuses on a search for a missing person led by detectives Jason Grant (Caan) and Nikki Batista (Ramirez). Together with the MPU team, their job is to find the missing or kidnapped people and reunite them with their loved ones.

In season two, the MPU team moves into their new office at headquarters, where Jason and Nikki meet their new boss Inspector Hollis Braun (guest star Gil Bellows), who brings the team, especially the unpredictable Jason Grant, into the spotlight. want to keep an eye on.
