Alert - Season 1
On Alert, Jason and Nikki go to great lengths to find missing people, while their own missing son's case is solved after six years.
The adopted son of Jason Grant (Scott Caan, Hawaii Five-0) and Nikki Parker (Dania Ramirez, Devious Maids) has been missing for six years. This event has put a strain on their marriage and they have been separated for some time. Nikki now has a relationship with colleague Mike (Ryan Broussard, Only Murders in the Building). As head of Philadelphia’s Missing Persons Unit, she puts all her energy into helping other people whose loved ones are missing. Soon she also brings Jason on board, which sometimes creates some awkward moments between Jason and Mike.

Each episode focuses on a new missing person case, but attention is also paid to the main storyline. This main storyline is about Jason’s and Nikki’s son Keith (Graham Verchere, The Good Doctor). Keith is found in the first episode, but is he actually who he says he is? Jason and Nikki think so, but their adopted teenage daughter Sidney (Fivel Stewart, The Recruit) has reasons of her own to question Keith's story.
Not every missing person case is equally well put together and that’s why some stories just feel like a filler. The dialogues contain many clichés and a number of things are so predictable that it is obvious early in the episode which way the story is going. However, the chemistry between Jason, Nikki, and Mike is pretty good. Jason and Nikki remain forever linked through their children and it is clear that the two love each other very much. While Jason no doubt still has feelings for Nikki, he is respectful to both Nikki and Mike. It's difficult for Mike to see Nikki with her ex, especially since Jason works very differently than he actually should. Where Mike sticks to the book, Jason mainly does what he likes regardless of whether his behavior is permitted.
In the season’s final episode, we finally find out if Keith is actually Keith. I feel like this storyline is now closed. If there’s a season renewal, which I highly doubt, it will therefore have to come up with a new story.
I think the acting is fine, the writing is below average and the individual missing person cases are mildly interesting. In my opinion, Alert could have done a lot better. It's an okay show for when you're sitting on the couch and there's really nothing else to watch, but don't expect too much of it. Because I think the main story of the show is reasonably well developed and Scott Caan and Dania Ramirez have portrayed their roles as well as possible, I rate the first season of Alert with a 6.5 out of 10.
The first season of Alert consists of 10 episodes and can be seen on Fox and Hulu. A second season has not yet been confirmed.![Video on youtube](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/13neeWPWnaU/maxresdefault.jpg)

"Be careful not to get square eyes," Sharon has been told since childhood. Watching television shows for hours on end is nothing new to her. Sharon can completely lose herself in good storylines, she cries along with her favorite characters and dreams completely new episodes at night. Also, she knows all the latest news about actors, castings, cancellations / renewals and gossip ? After studying Journalism, Sharon chose the financially stable corporate job, but after craving some more creativity, she handed in her notice. 2023 has started for her without a job, but with a lot of dreams and time to figure out her next step. Oh and she is also writing a tvshow. You can watch this on one of the major streaming services next year (she hopes).
