FX Unveils New Trailer for Alien: Earth

The latest trailer for the upcoming series Alien: Earth reveals a terrifying look at the chaos that ensues when a spaceship carrying hybrid lifeforms crashes on Earth
Alien: Earth is a new science fiction horror series from Fargo showrunner Noah Hawley, set in the year 2120. The series expands on the world of the iconic Alien franchise and serves as a prequel to Ridley Scott's 1979 original film. Scott himself serves as an executive producer through his production company Scott Free.

The story takes place in a future where five powerful megacorporations—Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic, and Threshold—dominate Earth. In this world, humans coexist with cyborgs (part human, part machine), synthetics (robots with artificial intelligence), and now a new, revolutionary life form: hybrids, or human AI robots with human consciousness. The first of these hybrids is Wendy, played by Sydney Chandler, and developed by Prodigy Corporation.

The series begins when the spaceship USCSS Maginot crashes on Earth. On board is a group of tactical soldiers, led by Wendy. They soon come face to face with a terrifying alien creature: the Xenomorph, a bloody, screaming, and extremely dangerous predator that will be familiar to fans of the original films. In the teaser, Kirsh, played by Timothy Olyphant, warns that it will be "too late" if they don't get the situation under control quickly.

The trailer depicts a world rife with threat and questions of identity, as Wendy wrestles with her own humanity: “If I’m not human, what am I?” Her awakening ignites a struggle in which she and other hybrids must not only find their place in society, but also survive against an unimaginable threat: the Xenomorph, which now threatens the Earth itself.
