Premiere date and new trailer for All the Light We Cannot See

Netflix has dropped the latest trailer for Shawn Levy's limited series All the Light We Cannot See.

Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name by Anthony Doer, All the Light We Cannot See follows the story of Marie-Laure (Aria Mia Loberti), a blind French girl and her father, Daniel LeBlanc (Mark Ruffalo, I Know This Much Is True), who flee German-occupied Paris with a legendary diamond to prevent it from falling into the hands of the Nazis. Relentlessly pursued by a vicious Gestapo officer who wants to possess the stone for his own selfish ends, Marie-Laure and Daniel soon find refuge in St. Malo, where they live with a reclusive uncle who broadcasts clandestine radio broadcasts as part of the resistance.

In addition to Loberti and Ruffalo (pictured), Nell Sutton plays Marie-Laure in her early years, Lars Eidinger (Babylon Berlin) plays Von Rumpel and Marion Bailey (The Crown) plays Madame Manec. The series will premiere on Thursday, November 2.

All the Light We Cannot See was published in 2014 to critical acclaim, a Pulitzer Prize in 2015, and the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction the same year. The book spent more than 200 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list and has sold more than 5.7 million copies in North America in print, e-book and audio formats and an additional 9.5 million worldwide.

Levy co-produces 21 Laps Entertainment with Dan Levine and Josh Barry and directs all four episodes, written by co-executive producer Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders). Joe Strechay is an associate producer and consultant on blindness and accessibility.
