Third season And Just Like That... won't be seen until 2025

Likely thanks to the delays caused by the now-resolved twin Hollywood strikes, we won't see the third season of Max's And Just Like That... until 2025.

The series' return was confirmed in a Max promo released last week with a first look at the upcoming 2024/2025 lineup. The video also confirmed previously announced 2025 premieres for HBO's Euphoria, The White Lotus and The Last of Us.

And Just Like That…

A specific start date for the Sex and the City sequel series was never set, but the writers' room was back up and running in early November following the end of the WGA strike and the start of production in anticipation of the end of the SAG-AFTRA strike.

It won't be the first time that a lot of time has passed between seasons of And Just Like That... There were 15 months between the finale episode of the first season on February 3, 2022 and the start of season two on June 22, 2023. series was greenlit for a third season in August.

In season two, the series brought back franchise favorites John Corbett as Aidan Shaw, Carrie's "one that got away" and Kim Cattrall in a small cameo in the season two finale, reprising her role as Samantha Jones.

After the death of her beloved husband Mr. Big (Chris Noth), Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) continued with her old 'standby' Aidan Shaw (John Corbett) last season. Their reconnection was quick and intense, but now that time has passed and their lives have evolved, is there a world where Carrie and Aidan can get along? It's complicated, but hasn't it always been that way?

Miranda is on a journey of self-discovery now that her relationship with Che (Sara Ramirez) has ended and she's unsure what to call herself or if she even needs to. Charlotte (Kristin Davis) is on a similar path, trying to find her identity outside of being a devoted wife and mother.

And Just Like That… was developed and produced by Michael Patrick King, along with executive producers John Melfi, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, Julie Rottenberg and Elisa Zuritsky. The HBO series Sex and the City was created by Darren Star and based on the book Sex and the City by Candace Bushnell.
