Netflix has released a trailer and release date for the Indian Betaal. The horror-thriller will premiere on the 24th of May. Netflix joined forces with Blumhouse Television, SK Global Entertainment and Red Chillies Entertainment to create this series.
Betaal has been created, directed and written by Patrick Graham. Fellow-director is Nikhil Mahajan. Suhani Kanwar also took part in the writing process. Leading roles will be portrayed by Viineet Kumar, Aahana Kumra, Suchitra Pillai, Jitendra Joshi, Jatin Goswami, Manjiri Pupala and Syna Anand.
Betaal takes place in a remote village, which soon becomes the centre point of a breathtaking fight when a 200-year-old colonel - who is infected with the curse of
Betaal - from the East India Company and his battalion of bloodthirsty zombie soldiers are released from their tomb. They attack everything that has a pulse and it's up to the CIPD (Counter Insurgency Police Department) to stop them. Down below, you can watch the trailer.
