Netflix Reveals Premiere Date and First Look Photos for Black Rabbit

New York City is about to get its own culinary drama with the new Netflix miniseries Black Rabbit.
The story revolves around Jake Friedken (played by Jude Law), a charismatic restaurant owner who is about to become the hottest restaurant in New York with Black Rabbit. The situation changes drastically when his brother Vince (Jason Bateman) unexpectedly returns to the business. This return brings old traumas and new dangers with it, which threaten not only their relationship, but also their entire empire.

In addition to starring, Bateman and Law serve as executive producers. Bateman will direct the first two episodes, followed by Laura Linney (his Ozark co-star) directing the next two. The remaining episodes will be directed by Benjamin Semanoff and Justin Kurzel, who will each direct two episodes.

In addition to Bateman and Law, the cast includes Cleopatra Coleman, Amaka Okafor, Sope Dirisu, Troy Kotsur, Abbey Lee, Chris Coy, Dagmara Dominczyk, Odessa Young and Robin de Jesús. The series also stars Amir Malaklou, Don Harvey, Forrest Weber, Francis Benhamou, Gus Birney, John Ales and Steve Witting.

The series promises to be a thrilling mix of family relationships, dark secrets and the intense dynamics of the New York hospitality industry.

Black Rabbit premieres on Netflix on Thursday, September 18 and will have eight episodes. Check out more first-look photos below.

Black Rabbit definitely appeals to me, especially because of the strong cast and the fact that it doesn't seem to be an average thriller. Still, I remain a bit hesitant, with Netflix it's always a wait and see. I'll probably give this series a chance.
