Sometime in 2013, someone in Amazon's boardroom probably hit the table with a fist, while roaring that after The Shield and Southland it was really time for a nice American detective again. Michael Connelly's books turned out to be the ideal source of inspiration and in February 2014 the Bosch pilot saw the light of day. Now the rest of the first season is also accessible and that is quite worthwhile. As befits a self-respecting police officer, Harry Bosch goes through life as a divorced man, which gives him a lot of time to devote himself to work.
