Jocelyn Hudon joins the cast of Chicago Fire season twelve

Following Kara Killmer's departure from NBC's Chicago Fire, a new paramedic is joining the ranks in season twelve.

Season twelve has been a time of change for Chicago Fire. In addition to Killmer's departure after a festive wedding to -the love of her life- Matt Casey (Jesse Spencer) in a fishing shop, Rome Flynn's Derek Gibson also recently quietly said goodbye.

But this is Chicago Fire, so who knows if and when these actors will return to reprise their roles or boss their friends around as directors. Speaking of which, Brian Tee is directing the eleventh episode of his former series Chicago Med this season, and Jesse Lee Soffer is directing a season eleven Chicago PD episode. Hopefully Soffer will also return as an actor, because Tracy Spiridakos is leaving after eight seasons with the procedural police series. Let's hope she gets her happily ever after.

Meanwhile, Jocelyn Hudon (pictured) has been added to the cast of Chicago Fire in a recurring role with an option for a series regular role, sources close to the production say.

NBC recently renewed all three One Chicago series – Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago PD – for the 2024-25 season. Med has been renewed for season ten, Fire for season thirteen and PD for season twelve. All three series are produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with Wolf Entertainment.

Hudon has starred in a long line of romantic Hallmark movies, so feel free to weigh in on possible love interests for her. After all, One Chicago is a big universe.

The actress is best known for the character Grace Bennett in the Hallmark series When Hope Calls. She also played Abby in FX's Guillermo Del Toro's The Strain and guest-starred in the FX series Dave (2020), Apple TV+'s Acapulco and NBC's The Irrational.
