Starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Lesley Manville and Stanley Tucci as the regular cast, the espionage thriller series continues to be a runaway success in countries around the world. It is Prime Video's second most watched new original series outside the US and the fourth most watched series worldwide.
The story: Eight years ago, Citadel fell. The independent global spy agency - tasked with maintaining the safety of all people - was destroyed by agents of Manticore, a powerful syndicate that manipulates the world from the shadows. At the fall of Citadel, elite operatives Mason Kane (Richard Madden) and Nadia Sinh (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) have their memories wiped as they narrowly escape with their lives.
Since then they remain hidden, building new lives under new identities, oblivious to their past. Until one night, when Mason is tracked down by his former Citadel colleague, Bernard Orlick (Stanley Tucci). Bernhard desperately needs his help to prevent Manticore from establishing a new world order. Mason seeks out his former partner Nadia, and the two spies embark on a mission that takes them around the world in an attempt to stop Manticore as they must fight for a relationship built on secrets, lies and a dangerous, but eternal love.
With all episodes of Citadel available to watch, the first episode will be free to stream for a limited time without a membership on both Prime Video and the ad-supported service Amazon Freevee. In the US, the first episode will stream on Amazon Freevee for a month starting Friday, May 26. Outside the US, the first episode of Citadel will be streaming on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories from Friday, May 26 through Sunday , May 28 without a Prime membership.
