Seven castings for FX limited series The Sterling Affairs

FX has added seven people to the cast of The Sterling Affairs, a series about the demise of Donald Sterling, owner of the Clippers.
The series tells the behind-the-scenes story of Doc Rivers (Laurence Fishburne, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation) and the Los Angeles Clippers' quest to win a championship for one of the historically worst franchises in all of sports during the impending demise of the owner of the team, Donald Sterling (Ed O'Neill, Modern Family), whose notorious racist behavior comes to light during the power struggle between his wife of over sixty years, Shelly Sterling (Jacki Weaver, Yellowstone (2018)), and his mistress , V. Stiviano (Cleopatra Coleman, Dopesick).

Kelly AuCoin (Billions), Austin Scott (Sistas), J. Alphonse Nicholson (P-Valley), Sheldon "Shel" Bailey (Game Shakers), Sarunas J. Jackson (Insecure), and Charlie McElveen (Evil) also star.

Harriet Samson Harris (Hacks), Corbin Bernsen (City on a Hill), Yvonna Pearson (Dynasty (2017)), Joel McKissic (Your Honor (US)), Darryl Wesley (This Is Us), Rich Sommer (Minx) and Clifton Davis (Billions) now join the cast in the six-episode series.



Harris (pictured), Emmy-nominated for her guest role as Susan on HBO's Hacks, and known for ABC's Desperate Housewives and Netflix series Ratched, among others, will soon be seen in AMC's National Anthem.

Two-time Emmy nominee Bernsen (pictured below), known for his role as Arnie Becker on NBC's L.A. Law, is currently on Showtime's City on a Hill and will next appear on HBO's The White House Plumbers and Showtime's The Curse.



Yvonne Pearson can also be seen in another limited series: Peacock's The Best Man: The Final Chapters, based on the film franchise of the same name. She also guest-starred on The CW's Dynasty (2017).

Joel McKissic recently starred in Showtime's Your Honor (US) and the movie "Breaking News in Yuba County".

Darryl Wesley had his big break in a guest starring role on NBC's This Is Us, playing Deja's father. His writing credits include Paramount+'s The Game (2021) and Netflix's The Upshaws.



Rich Sommer (pictured) is best known for his role as Harry Crane on AMC's Mad Men and was recently seen on HBO Max's Minx and Hulu's The Dropout. He will be next seen in HBO's The White House Plumbers.

Clifton Davis' most recent television credits include major recurring roles on Showtime's Billions, CBS' Madam Secretary and Epix's Godfather of Harlem.

The Sterling Affairs is written by Gina Welch (Feud: Bette and Joan) and based on the ESPN "30 for 30" podcast of the same name as reported and hosted by Ramona Shelburne.

The series is produced by Welch, Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson of Color Force, Shelburne and Zanne Devine. Kevin Bray directs the first block and serves as an executive producer for these episodes. Rembert Browne serves as producer and Nellie Reed of Color Force serves as co-executive producer. The series is produced by FX Productions.
