Billie Piper and John Simm. They’ll both be starring in Collateral, a new BBC drama: a “gripping, high octane thriller”
Set over the course of four days, the four-part drama explores the spiraling repercussions surrounding the fatal shooting of a pizza delivery man. Refusing to accept this is a random act of senseless violence, tough and single-minded Detective Inspector Kip Glaspie (Mulligan) is determined to discover if there is a darker truth. Politician David Mars (Simm) becomes instantly embroiled in the drama through his turbulent relationship with his troubled and unpredictable ex Karen (Piper). While Jane Oliver (Walker), a compassionate vicar, struggles to conceal her affair with the only witness to the crime. Hare’s electrifying writing acts as a moving spotlight, asking crucial questions about the state of modern Britain.

Great series, follow carefully and carefully and then you see a very exciting series, excellent ateurs and actresses. I am a big fan of Nicola Walker. So can not break! Story is very up to date

I especially loved Carey Mulligan. I think she was pregnant not only in the series, but also in real life with one of her children with Marcus Mumford, which is why she suddenly appeared in a police miniseries at home in England. An actress of that caliber (Oscar material) is a treat. Ultimately, he is concerned with two murders that need to be solved and both the perpetrators and the hunters get the chance to show what they can do. I found some of the characters terrifyingly cringe (the mom of the soldier with PTSD), what a mean person! Or the human smuggler, what a bastard! But all in all, quite a quality miniseries. For fans of the better (dark) crime genre, that is.

Mediocre acting, incredible characters and an unsurprising plot. Contains such an enormous amount of BBC propaganda that it just gets laughable. Praising the great Labor Party, the pitifulness of refugees and the malice of government agencies that may want to deport those refugees. But also the minimum wage, racism, sexism, #metoo and the evil Americans are discussed. The only evil that was not discussed is Brexit, but maybe I was just asleep to this politically correct drama at the time. There is nothing wrong with raising a social problem every now and then, but you can overdo it. Afrader
