For me personally, the most interesting seasons of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation are the ones with lengthy quests. The more difficult and unpredictable the mystery, the better the season.CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is one of the first crime series I ever saw. The intriguing crimes, the detective work and the variety of characters have always appealed to me in this series. Most episodes can be seen separately, but each season has a common thread that tells the story behind the characters. It is not without reason that it has been the most watched crime series for a long time.
One of the favorite characters from the series returns in season ten. We see Sara Sidle return to Las Vegas after marrying Gil Grissom and work for the team led by Catherine Willows and Ray Langston in place of Riley Adams.
The most interesting seasons for me personally are the ones with long-lasting storylines. The more difficult and unpredictable the mystery, the better the season. Instead of the normal short tension that we see in every episode, there is now a continuous build-up of tension throughout the entire season. As a viewer you get puzzle pieces that do not immediately fall into place. The team is dealing with a serial killer. The team calls him Dr. Jekyll. Dr. Jekyll is not just limited to Las Vegas, resulting in a crossover with both CSI: Miami and CSI: New York. Now I am very happy that this series is the first to also add the crossover episodes as extra items. So you don't have to have the other series, but you get two bonus episodes.
Of course we won't reveal who the serial killer is just yet, but what I can say is that Bill Irwin is the perfect psycho killer from all seasons. He creates another extremely exciting cliffhanger in which several characters get into trouble. Who will return next season and who will be the victim of the alleged Dr. Jekyll?
The DVD contains all 23 episodes of CSI season ten and two crossover episodes of CSI: Miami and CSI: New York, spread over six DVDs. It also contains some other nice extras and commentary on episode fourteen. Enough bonus content that is worth it. The series is spoken in English and the DVD offers Dutch subtitles.
