Darby & Joan stars Brown and Scacchi as former cop Jack Darby and English nurse Joan Kirkhope, respectively, who collide in the Australian wilderness and become entangled in a series of intriguing mysteries. They form an unlikely investigative duo and soon realize that their biggest mystery is each other.
The AMC Networks streamer will film the second season of the series in Australia later this year.
In season two, Jack and Joan search for the person who Jack believes can reveal the truth about his mysterious past. Jack and Joan soon realize they are not alone on this journey and their search becomes a race against time. But can they really find the truth after all these years? Or will their search for answers only raise more questions?
Created by Glenys Rowe and Phillip Gwynne, the series is produced by CJZ Production and executive produced by Matt Campbell, Claire Tonkin, Catherine Mackin and Bea Tammer.
Acorn Media International, the distributor, has sold the series in a number of global territories. The series has been picked up by UKTV in Great Britain, BBC Studios in the Benelux, AXN Mystery Channel in Japan, Network 4 in Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia and Disney Channel in Central and Eastern Europe. It also aired on Australian channel ABC earlier this year.
