Production for Disney+'s Daredevil: Born Again has restarted

Marvel's Daredevil: Born Again is back in production. Filming on the upcoming Disney+ series resumed last week.

Production on Daredevil: Born Again had already begun and was halted last year due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

Marvel executives reviewed the footage already shot and decided the series needed a creative change in direction. The Hollywood Reporter reveals that the series will have fewer episodes than the eighteen episodes originally planned.

14687 Daredevil: Born Again

Starring Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio, the series Daredevil: Born Again is a loose continuation of Marvel's Daredevil series, which ran for three seasons on Netflix.

The story follows Matt Murdock/Daredevil (Cox) and William Fisk/Kingpin (D'Onofrio) as they try to put aside their differences to help the people of New York.

Additionally, Jon Bernthal appears as the vigilante known as The Punisher. Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson will reportedly reprise their roles as Karen Page and Foggy Nelson,

D'Onofrio said the following about the upcoming series to The Hollywood Reporter:

“During our restart of all the creative on Daredevil: Born Again, all the creatives got together and said, ‘Look, this is how we’ve got to do it now.’ So we are for sure only speaking about it in terms of being directly connected to the original Daredevil, and that’s a great thing. It brings in a lot of cool stories and all the collateral story that happened in those original three seasons.”

The premiere date for Daredevil: Born Again will be announced at a later date.
