Apple TV+ drops trailer for science fiction series Dark Matter (2024)

Joel Edgerton and Jennifer Connelly's Apple TV+ sci-fi series Dark Matter (2024) has unveiled a trailer.

Based on the novel by Blake Crouch and hailed as one of the best sci-fi novels of the decade, the series follows Jason Dessen (played by Edgerton), a physicist, professor and family man who - one night while returning home walks the streets of Chicago - is kidnapped into an alternate version of his life. Amazement quickly turns to nightmare as he tries to return to his reality amid the mind-bending landscape of lives he might have lived.

Dark Matter (2024)

The series also stars Alice Braga, Jimmi Simpson, Dayo Okeniyi and Oakes Fegley. Dark Matter (2024) consists of eight episodes and premieres with two episodes on Wednesday, May 8, followed by one episode weekly until June 8.

The series joins Silo, Foundation (2021) and Severance in Apple TV+'s growing line of science fiction series.

Crouch is creator, executive producer, showrunner and writer, along with executive producers Matt Tolmach and David Manpearl for Matt Tolmach Productions. Edgerton is also executive producer. Dark Matter (2024) is produced for Apple TV+ by Sony Pictures Television.
