De beloften is a Dutch documentary which aired on NPO 3. The series premiered on July 1, 2021.

Seven young top athletes were followed for four years on the long road towards their dream: to participate in the Olympic Games in Tokyo. They are called the new Dafne Schippers or the new Pieter van den Hoogenband. But do they live up to those expectations? Who will eventually reach the finish line and who will not?
