Dexter is an American crime series which aired on Showtime. Dexter premiered on October 1, 2006.
Dexter is based on Jeff Lindsay's novels; Darkly Dreaming Dexter and Dearly Devoted Dexter. This crime thriller follows Dexter Morgan, a forensic blood spatter expert for the Miami Metro Police Department. Thanks to a code instilled in him by his foster father, Harry, he hunts down people who have escaped justice and makes sure they don't get away with a crime again.

Just read in the newspaper, more than likely there will be a ninth season !!!

In my opinion unfortunately went on for 1 season too long season 7 could have had a perfect ending but alas! Best series I've watched so far..

Nice series easy to watch, suspense, comedy and detective are in it. Nice is the unexpected is to be expected at the end anyway. Nice build makes me curious about the rest of the series.

The last season was actually a disappointing season, until the last 3 episodes. Only then it really gets going again. The ending is a bit off putting. The boat scene at sea should indeed have been the last scene. Or else Hannah and Harrison. Unfortunately. Still, viewed over all seasons, Dexter remains a separate and high-quality series.
