Michael c. Hall on the end of Dexter

Michael c. Hall on the end of Dexter

Dexter came to an end last year. The series initially was both a critical and commercial success for the channel Showtime, but in later seasons the series quickly went downhill. Indeed, the later seasons are reviled by many and the series finale is widely seen as, probably, the worst ever. And when even cast members or employees of series have doubts about the quality, you know that they agree with the criticism. Lead actor Michael C. Hall opens up about the end now.

“Did I find it any good?” thus Hall. ”I don't think I've ever looked at it. I believe the episode was narratively satisfactory, but not so spicy.”

”I think that the series had lost a certain drive,” Hall said. ”Probably because we have gone through as long as we did, to tell the stories we have told and perhaps because our writers were saturated ... Maybe some people wanted more satisfaction – Maybe they wanted a happy ending for Dexter, or a more definitive sense of closure. "
