New season of Doctor Who is coming soon to Disney+

Of course, we already knew that Doctor Who would come to Disney+, but now it is finally known when we can watch the new episodes. Disney+ is the new home of Doctor Who. We have known this for a while, because back in 2022, Disney's streaming service announced that they had acquired the exclusive broadcast rights to the iconic series. They will continue to make the series in collaboration with BBC.

This means that new seasons will appear directly on Disney+. This also includes the first season in which Ncuti Gatwa, known for Sex Education, will appear as the fifteenth Doctor.



The big question, of course, remains when the time will finally come. In the video at the bottom of this news item, the makers announce that the season will start on Saturday, May 11. If you really can't wait, there is even better news. May 11 is the day that the series will be broadcast on British television via the BBC, but you can stream it a day earlier. From Friday, May 10, you can count on weekly episodes in various countries, which will appear on Disney+.

The Doctor Who series is about an alien named The Doctor. This creature may look like a human, but is in fact a Time Lord who has fled from the planet Gallifrey. This involves traveling through time and space in the company of one or more traveling companions.
