Elite's latest series features new faces including Ane Rot (Killer Book Club) and Nuno Gallego (UPA Next), while Mina el Hammani, who had a recurring role in the first four seasons, reprises the role of Nadia Shanaa.
Elite, created by Carlos Montero and Darío Madrona, has been airing since 2018 and is set in a fictional high school. The teen drama revolves around the relationships between three working-class students enrolled in the elite school through a scholarship program and their wealthy classmates. Montero and Madrona are also executive producers.
Other cast members in Elite include Omar Ayuso, Valentina Zenere, André Lamoglia, Carmen Arrufat, Álex Pastrana, Álvaro de Juana, Ander Puig, Ana Bokesa, Carla Díaz, Martina Cariddi, Adam Nourou and Manu Ríos. Mirela Balic, Fernando Líndez, Gleb Abrosimov, Ivan Mendes, Alejandro Albarracin and Maribel Verdu were also part of the previous season's cast.
The series was filmed in the Madrid region, including parts filmed in San Lorenzo de El Escorial. The mountains north of the Spanish capital often play a role in the background.
