Emily in Paris Adds Bryan Greenberg to Season Five Cast

In the fifth season of the hit comedy series Emily in Paris, Emily (played by Lily Collins) will meet a new American expat.Bryan Greenberg has joined the cast of Emily in Paris for season five as Jake, an American living in Paris. French actress Michèle Laroque has also been cast in a recurring role. She will play Yvette, an old friend of Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu).

Jake and Yvette are two of the three new returning characters that will be introduced in the new season. The third new character, Princess Jane, was previously announced and will be played by Minnie Driver.

Several familiar faces will also return. Paul Forman returns as Nico, a businessman and heir who has been seen as the love of Mindy (Ashley Park) since season three. His return is notable, because he and Mindy had a painful breakup at the end of season four, which left her devastated.

Arnaud Binard also returns as Laurent G, Sylvie's husband, who has been in the show since season two. Their relationship will be under extra pressure in the new season, partly due to Sylvie's affair with an old flame in Rome.

In addition to these characters, Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), Samuel Arnold (Julien), Bruno Gouery (Luc), William Abadie (Antoine Lambert), Lucien Laviscount (Alfie), Eugenio Franceschini (Marcello) and Thalia Besson (Genevieve) have also been confirmed for season five.

Jake is the third major American character in the series, along with Emily and Genevieve (who was introduced last season). Never before have so many American characters been present in the series at the same time.

Greenberg is known for his leading role as Ben Epstein in the original HBO series How to Make It in America and his recurring role on Fox's The Mindy Project. He also had a recurring role as Jake Jagielski in the WB series One Tree Hill and as Nick Garrett in the ABC drama October Road. Greenberg was recently seen as Rick Dodsen in the now canceled NBC series Suits LA.

Season five is currently in production in Paris, after four weeks of filming in Rome. The new episodes will be released worldwide on Netflix in 2025.
