Endgame

Nice series! Light-hearted entertainment with a touch of ingenuity. Can't wait to get my hands on the third episode. The series combines the interesting character of House, but then pours it all into a detective story. Not nearly as exciting and complex as Sherlock, but more nonchalant as we are used to from The Sentinel. The plus here is that the chess genius on duty makes his findings purely through logical thinking & the audience can witness the possible routes he takes in his head. With a liberating effect, I dare say. So unlike the Agatha Christie stories, you are not suddenly told everything at the end, but every discovery of the master unfolds very naturally. Furthermore, the series does not have that much going for it, but sometimes that is not necessary at all. After all, this is television, right? Nice and relaxing.
