After Lewis Hamilton swept to pole position and victory in last week's British Grand Prix, the six-time champion was favourite to do likewise at this weekend's race, also being held at the Silverstone circuit, and while he may yet seal back-to-back wins at the Northamptonshire track in the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix on Sunday, he missed out on consecutive pole positions after his Mercedes team mate Valtteri Bottas beat him to it in qualifying on Saturday afternoon.
