Featuring an all-Mexican/Spanish cast and crew led by Ariel Award winner Joaquín Cosío, Renata Vaca and Diego Calva, Familia de medianoche stars Sergio Bautista, with special participation from Goya Award winner Óscar Jaenada, José María de Tavira, Itzan Escamilla, Mariana Gómez, Dolores Heredia and special guest star, Academy Award nominee Yalitza Aparicio.
Inspired by the award-winning documentary of the same name, Familia de medianoche follows Marigaby Tamayo (Vaca), an ambitious and gifted medical student by day, who saves lives by night in a vast, contrasting and fascinating Mexico City aboard her family’s private ambulance.
Together with her father Ramón (Cosío) and siblings Marcus (Calva) and Julito (Bautista), Marigaby serves a population of millions by tackling extreme medical emergencies to provide for its livelihood.
The series makes its global debut on Apple TV+ with two episodes on Wednesday, September 25, followed by new episodes every Wednesday through November 20. Watch the trailer below.
