Familie Kruys
Familie Kruys is een Nederlandse dramedyserie van de zender RTL4. De serie ging in première op 29 maart 2015.
De serie gaat over de hechte band tussen Bette Kruys en haar homoseksuele broer Kirk en alle perikelen die zij samen met de rest van hun kleurrijke familie meemaken. Hun moeder overleed toen ze nog jong waren en hun vader is een succesvolle schrijver met een drankprobleem. Bette is een 46-jarige alleenstaande vrouw die met sterren stylen de kost verdient, maar zelf nooit in dat ‘maatje zero’ past. Ze wordt verliefd op haar aannemer, die niets wegheeft van de man van haar dromen. Haar broer, een acteur die al een jaar overspannen thuis zit, heeft een liefdevolle maar moeizame relatie met zijn echtgenoot Morten. Als hun vader Thomas op een dag thuiskomt met de Roemeense internetbruid Ruxandra, gaan bij Bette en Kirk alle alarmbellen af.

While Linda de Mol managed to reach the public with Gooische Vrouwen and Divorce, I believe that she is almost completely wrong here. The humor is occasionally painful (so lackluster) and it is now very clear that Linda de Mol is not an actress, whereas in the aforementioned series this was taken care of by a bunch of renowned actors and actresses. I have a hard heart that it will be made up for in the last four episodes.

I started a bit skeptical with the Kruys family because of Linda de Mol. Linda again? Pffft, am actually a bit done with that. But to be fair, the Kruys family is a nice series. Elise Schaap and Hans Dagelet pull the series through as far as I am concerned, they play fantastic and are really funny, also their storyline. Actually, these two make the series fun. What then pulls everything down again are Bette (played by Linda) and Kirk. Linda is not happy now and then, but whether that is the acting or the character, that is still debatable. And Kirk ... there is really nothing nice, endearing or likable about this huge bastard, really annoying in fact. I think the writers of the series really need to do something about this very quickly, because the chance that viewers will drop out because of that alone is high. Linda looks very nice in this series by the way (and as a human being she seems quite sympathetic to me)!
