Actress to Leave FBI in Season 7

A regular is leaving the CBS drama FBI in season seven, sources reveal.
The same sources report that the actress in question, Katherine Renee Kane, will appear in at least one episode before her character Special Agent Tiffany Wallace leaves.

Kane (pictured left with John Boyd) joined the show during its third season following the departure of Ebonee Noel as Kristen Chazal. The actress sent a statement about her departure to Deadline yesterday.

"It was time to look towards new creative endeavors. I’m excited for the future and wish the show all the best," Kane shared.

As announced earlier today, Lisette Olivera will join the series in the regular role of Syd, a trained Behavioral Analysis Unit agent about to enter the field. She is positioned to take over as Scola’s (John Boyd) partner, a role that will be left open by Tiffany. While Syd has experience as a desk agent, there are layers to her personality and resume that make her a natural fit for the streets as a field agent, production sources reveal.

FBI, which wrapped its sixth season in May, follows the criminal division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in New York as they fight to keep New York City and the country safe.

The cast also includes Missy Peregrym, Zeeko Zaki, Jeremy Sisto, Alana De La Garza and John Boyd.

The series is produced by Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with CBS Studios. The executive producers are Dick Wolf, Mike Weiss, Alex Chapple, Amanda Slater, Rick Eid and Peter Jankowski.
