Fire Country casts two actors in recurring roles for the second season

After previously adding Dynasty (2017) actor Rafael de la Fuente to the second season of Fire Country, two actors have now been cast in recurring roles.
The drama stars Max Thieriot as Bode Donovan, a young convict who seeks redemption and a shorter prison sentence by participating in a firefighting program in Northern California, where he and other inmates team up with elite firefighters to tackle massive, unpredictable extinguish forest fires in the region.

It's a high-risk, high-reward assignment, and the tension is heightened when Bode is assigned to the program in his rural hometown, where he was once a golden prospect - until his troubles began. Five years ago, Bode burned down everything in his life and left town with a big secret. Now he's back, with the rap sheet of a criminal and the nerve to believe in a chance at redemption at Cal Fire.

14533 Tye White & Jason O'Mara

Tye White (pictured, left) and Jason O'Mara (pictured, right) play major roles in the upcoming second season of the CBS drama series.

White (Greenleaf) plays Cole, an MMA fighter and family man, now a prisoner and Bode's cellmate. Cole has made mistakes himself in the past and has learned from them, making him a better man.

O'Mara (The Man in the High Castle) will play Liam, a tough firefighter with a relaxed confidence. Liam is a former colleague of Sharon (Diane Farr) who bumps into Sharon and Vince (Billy Burke) and is very happy to see her.

The series, from Jerry Bruckheimer Television and CBS Studios, is inspired by Thieriot's experiences growing up in fire country and comes from an original idea by the actor, who also wrote the story for the pilot with writers, Tony Phelan and Joan Rater. All three are executive producers.

White recently starred in the sitcom American Auto for two seasons on NBC and has also appeared in Chicago Fire, NCIS: Los Angeles, American Crime Story: The People vs. OJ Simpson and starred for three seasons on the OWN series Greenleaf.

O'Mara can currently be seen in season three of Kate O'Riordan's Irish thriller-drama series Smother, for which he was nominated at this year's IFTAs for Best Lead Actor in a Drama, and in the independent feature film Your Lucky Day. He also appeared as Wyatt Price in Amazon's The Man in the High Castle, as well as in Apple's Truth Be Told (2019), Departure and Netflix film Hypnotic.
