Grammer returns as the titular character in the first two episodes premiering October 12 followed by new episodes every Thursday.
The series follows Frasier (2023) as he returns to Boston to start a new chapter of his life on his old home base with new challenges, new relationships to forge and an old dream or two to finally fulfill. However, his main goal is to reconnect with his estranged son Freddy (Jack Cutmore-Scott, Deception (2018)), who is an adult and a firefighter now living his own life that is now interrupted by the return of his father.
The ten-episode series also stars Nicholas Lyndhurst (New Tricks) as Frasier's old college friend and now university professor Alan, Toks Olagundoye (Fatal Attraction) as Olivia, Alan's colleague and head of the university psychology department, Jess Salgueiro (Y: The Last Man) as Freddy's roommate Eve and Anders Keith as Frasier's cousin David.
Bebe Neuwirth reprises the role of Lilith, ex-wife of Frasier and mother of Freddy, who originated in the hit NBC series Cheers. Peri Gilpin, who played Roz in the original Frasier, also returns.
In addition, the special Frasier: Inside the Series will air on CBS on October 7, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at how the new series came to be. The half-hour special will stream a day later on Paramount+ and be available simultaneously via the service's official YouTube and Facebook pages, Pluto TV and Mixible.
