Posters for Frasier (2023) pay tribute to the comedy series' original title card

Paramount+ has released two key images for the upcoming sequel to the Emmy-winning comedy series Frasier.

Both posters focus on the main character. In fact, the sequel's star and executive producer Kelsey Grammer, who reprises his signature character as Frasier Crane, is the only cast member from the sequel depicted.



In one image, Frasier is surrounded by luggage, moving boxes and furniture as he stands in front of the Boston skyline - a nod to the original series' famous title card showing the Seattle skyline.

On the other, Frasier Crane, never too modest about his own intellectual capabilities, has surrounded himself with the busts of a number of great intellectuals in various fields of art and science: Benjamin Franklin, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, William Shakespeare and Charles Dickens.

In both, Frasier has a business casual look that we rarely saw in the original series. You can view the posters below this post.

Filmed in front of a live studio audience at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles, the new Frasier series follows Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer) in the next chapter of his life as he returns to Boston with new challenges, new relationships to forge, and an old dream or two to finally fulfill.

Frasier (2023) can be seen from Thursday, October 12.

In addition to Grammer, the new series stars Jack Cutmore-Scott (Deception (2018)) as Frasier's son Freddy, Nicholas Lyndhurst (New Tricks) as Frasier's old college friend turned college professor, Toks Olagundoye (Fatal Attraction) as Olivia, Alan's colleague and head of the university psychology department, Jess Salgueiro (Y: The Last Man) as Freddy's roommate Eve and Anders Keith as Frasier's cousin David.

Frasier is produced by CBS Studios, in association with Grammer's Grammnet NH Productions, from writers Chris Harris and Joe Cristalli, who are producing alongside Kelsey Grammer, Tom Russo and Jordan McMahon. The first two episodes of the new series are directed by James Burrows, who is best known for his work as co-creator, executive producer and director of Cheers, and as director/executive producer of the spinoff Frasier and Will & Grace.
