Old acquaintances return in a guest role for the second season of Frasier (2023)

In season two of the Paramount+ series Frasier (2023), fans of the original series will see the return of two old acquaintances.

Dan Butler and Edward Hibbert, who played Bob 'Bulldog' Briscoe and Gil Chesterton respectively in the original series, appear in guest roles. Production is currently taking place in Los Angeles.

Season two stacks up the cast with the return of Peri Gilpin as Roz Doyle and Greer Grammer, who will play Roz's daughter Alice. Patricia Heaton will guest star as bartender Holly, who is described as a down-to-earth and unpretentious Bostonian who openly mocks overly intellectual types. Yvette Nicole Brown and Amy Sedaris will also appear in season two.

“Dan Butler and Edward Hibbert have made an indelible contribution to television, and I am overjoyed to welcome them back to Frasier and for the opportunity to work together once again,” Kelsey Grammer shared in a statement.

Frasier (2023) continues to follow Frasier Crane (Grammer) in the next chapter of his life after he returns to Boston to take on new challenges, forge new relationships and - with hope - finally fulfill an old dream or two.

The series also stars Jack Cutmore-Scott, Nicholas Lyndhurst, Toks Olagundoye, Jess Salgueiro and Anders Keith.

The series comes from writers Chris Harris and Joe Cristalli, who are producing alongside Grammer, Tom Russo and Jordan McMahon.

Frasier is produced by CBS Studios in association with Grammer's Grammnet NH Productions and distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution outside the Paramount+ markets.
