The series takes place in a small town in the middle of America that traps everyone who enters. The residents fight to stay alive and find a way out while avoiding night creatures that live in the surrounding forest.
MGM+ renewed the horror series in June 2023, just days after the season two finale.
MGM+ revealed more about the series' return in the press release below:
"From unravels the mystery of a nightmarish city that traps all who enter. As its reluctant residents fight to maintain a sense of normalcy and seek a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest - including the terrifying creatures that emerge when the sun sets.
Season two shows just how far the residents of this nightmarish place are willing to go to find answers, even as new threats to their safety - and their sanity - emerge.
In the series, Harold Perrineau leads an ensemble cast that includes Catalina Sandino Moreno, Eion Bailey, Hannah Cheramy, Simon Webster, Ricky He, Chloe Van Landschoot, Corteon Moore, Pegah Ghafoori, David Alpay, Elizabeth Saunders, Elizabeth Moy and Avery Konrad.
Season two added new series regulars including Scott McCord, Nathan D. Simmons, Kaelen Ohm, Angela Moore, AJ Simmons and Deborah Grover.
From is created and produced by John Griffin, directed and produced by Jack Bender and produced by showrunner Jeff Pinkner.
In addition to Pinkner, Griffin and Bender, Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, Midnight Radio's Scott Rosenberg, AGBO's Anthony and Joe Russo and Mike Larocca and Lindsay Dunn serve as executive producers. Adrienne Erickson of Midnight Radio is co-executive producer. The series is distributed internationally by Paramount Global Content Distribution.”
