Sometimes you just have to let something rest, guys. Sometimes it is better to sit comfortably together on the couch and bring back nice memories. Not every series needs a remake. Full House didn't need a remake. It turns out that it is possible, but from a purely qualitative point of view this series does not add anything. It could even be that people now look at Fuller House, reflect on Full House and think: did I really like this in the past? If you're an 80's baby like me, then you know Full House. You may even have grown up with it. The series ran from 1987-1995 and was broadcast in the Netherlands on RTL4 and Veronica. So now this spin-off, with largely the same cast, can be seen on Netflix. The series centers on DJ Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron Bure, Full House). DJ has a loving family, three children and a good job. Unfortunately, she lost her husband, so DJ now has to take care of three young children on her own. I have a little monster crawling around at home myself and I can tell you that it can be tough. As a single dad, I would probably skydive off my roof. Half of the old hall of Full House always assisted DJ, but they are now moving to Los Angeles. First they get a mandatory reintroduction (with enthusiastic cheers from the audience), a farewell party and then the DJ really has to do it alone. Soon, sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin, Full House) and best friend Kimmy (Andrea Garber, Full House) decide to move in with DJ to help her raise the kids. That means the house goes from Full to Fuller. This first season has thirteen episodes. Sir is absolutely not sure if he will eat all thirteen episodes. I immediately kick the door of this overcrowded house: Fuller House is not exactly a good series. It is 'not because we have to, but because there is a possibility'. The series feels very dated. I am happy that this series is for the nostalgic fan, but this series offers a lot less for new viewers. Candace Cameron, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Garber are really not bad at all. In addition, a large part of the old cast comes in from time to time (John Stamos, Bob Saget, Dave Coulier and Lori Loughlin). So it is a feast of recognition ... but it is absolutely not a feast of indulgence. The situations that are created are not funny. I couldn't find the humor with a magnifying glass. It's a multicam sitcom the way I don't like to see it: risk-free, not even a little bit original, predictable and cliché. The laugh track certainly doesn't do the series any good. Especially since you often wonder why these people are laughing. There is nothing you can really sink your teeth into and it is often painfully not funny. In the second episode the ladies go out together and suddenly there is latin dancing to a song by Macy Gray! Again, on a Macy Gray track! Why? Why ... Explain why a lot seems so forced. Furthermore, the happy viewer sees how the ladies try to organize the household, try to get their lives back in order and also start dating again. It is all very safe. Tasteless. The pepper is missing. I understand that it is a family comedy, but especially the channel ABC is currently proving that comedies aimed at the family really do not have to be dull or boring. Fuller House doesn't do anything terrible, but it doesn't do anything remarkable either. The series and the stories go on and on. Fortunately, Fuller House will suit the nostalgic fan better. The viewer who loves this genre can certainly join. The series gives these viewers exactly what they expect from it. It is a comedy aimed at the family, the three leading ladies are sympathetic and many of the situations are recognizable. In addition, the more intimate moments, when the ladies practice female bonding, are not bad. Like DJ who makes it clear to Kimmy in the fourth episode that parenting also means that a parent sets rules and boundaries. Or Stephanie who realizes how much her sister and her nephews mean to her in the fifth episode. It is also not wrong to see the genuine love between these sisters on the screen. I would certainly recommend Fuller House to this target group (the family). In addition, thirteen episodes are not a very large investment. It is only more difficult to really recommend a series like Fuller House, while there are so many better series (and comedies) at the moment. As for comedies, fresher-premised series that tell more interesting and well-executed stories (again, take a look at ABC's comedy line-up). The Fuller House theme is certainly not wrong. The implementation simply leaves something to be desired. This is a series that could have stayed better in the 80's. In 2016, this simply isn't good enough to impress. www.meneervevie.com

I was almost 19 when Full House came on TV. Now so many years later Fuller house is coming. At first I had my reservations, but they quickly disappeared. Fuller house reminds you of Full House in the beginning, but after three episodes I started to see the series as a separate series and not as Full House. I had to laugh a lot, the humor of the past is still there, now cast in a 2016 jacket.

A typical women's series! Nothing wrong with that, just look away on an evening when you hang out on the couch!

Nice series, easy to look away and a good dose of humor. What bothers me a lot is the hassle around DJ, Steve and Matt. That should change because no one wants to watch the same story for years to come
