In 2021, Michael C. Hall will once again be seen as Dexter. Showtime has announced ten new episodes in the form of a mini-series.



Showtime has announced that there's going to be a mini-series that features Michael C. Hall (Safe) as Dexter morgan. The series will consist of ten episodes. Supposedly, the series will carry on where the eighth season ended. Production is set to begin in 2021 and the series is expected to release somewhere in Q3 of 2021.

Dexter premiered back in 2006. The final episodes of the eighth season aired in 2013. A lot of fans weren't impressed by the ending. For a number of years, there have been rumours regarding a possible ninth season for Dexter. Lead actor Michael C. Hall revealed that he was also willing to return for a ninth season back in 2018. Depending on where you live, Dexter can be seen on various streaming services. In the Netherlands, it can be watched on Amazon Prime Video.

Gary Levine, Showtime Entertainment president, said the following about Dexter; “We would only revisit this unique character if we could find a creative take that was truly worthy of the brilliant, original series. Well, I am happy to report that Clyde Phillips and Michael C. Hall have found it, and we can’t wait to shoot it and show it to the world.”
