The Simpson family isn't going to disappear from television just yet. FOX has ordered two more seasons. With that, the animation series is assured of a 33rd and 34th season. These seasons have been ordered for the 2021-22 and 2022-23 season. Once these two seasons have aired, the series will have had 757 episodes.
The series revolves around the Simpson family, which consists of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie. The Simpsons premiered back in 1989. It is the longest-running scripted primetime series in the entire history of television. The series has developed into an entire franchise.
