Freeform has renewed Motherland: Fort Salem with its third season. This season will also serve as the final season of the American fantasy series. Motherland: Fort Salem has been written and directed by Eliot Laurence (Claws). On the 18th of March in 2020, the series premiered on Freeform. It is not yet known when the final season will start.
The series takes place in an alternative, modern America. Witches have ended their 300-year-long prosecution by closing a deal with the US government. The witches will fight for their country. The series follows three young women who have followed basic training in fighting magics.
