FXX has announced that the comedy series will return for its third season this spring, on Wednesday, April 5.
Dave Burd and Jeff Schaffer created the Dave (2020) television comedy starring Burd, Taylor Misiak, Andrew Santino, GaTa, Travis Bennett and Christine Ko. The series is based on the life of Burd, a rapper and comedian known as Lil Dicky on stage.
The series revolves around a neurotic man from the suburbs, Dave (Burd). In his late twenties, he is convinced that he is destined to become one of the greatest rappers of all time. With the pressure mounting as he records his debut album, Dave must decide whether to sacrifice friendships, love and his self-esteem to make his dream come true. Simultaneously annoying and inspiring to his friends, Dave promises to leave no stone unturned in his quest to become the next superstar.
Guest stars of this season include Demi Lovato, Don Cheadle, Killer Mike, Machine Gun Kelly, Megan Fox, Rick Ross, Travis Barker, and Usher.
In the third season, Dave goes on tour for the first time, looking for love. But as he and the gang cross America, they discover firsthand just how diverse the cultural landscape of the United States really is - and how often fame puts a strain on love and friendship.
