Josh and Melissa will find themselves in a strange but somewhat familiar country in April. Apple TV+ has announced a start date for the second season of the series Schmigadoon!

Schmigadoon!, a musical comedy series co-created by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio, follows contemporary couple Josh (Keegan-Michael Key) and Melissa (Cecily Strong) as they find themselves trapped in a strange Brigadoon-esque town. The naive inhabitants sing and dance every hour, as if they are in a musical from the 1940s or 1950s. The first season ended with the couple solving problems in their own relationship while also helping the residents grow.

They can leave the town of Schmigadoon, but have now arrived in Schmicago, the reconstructed world of the musicals of the 1960s and 1970s. Season 2 returns Strong and Key, Ariana DeBose, Martin Short, Dove Cameron, Jaime Camil, Kristin Chenoweth, Alan Cumming, Ann Harada, Jane Krakowski, and Aaron Tveit. Tituss Burgess (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) and Patrick Page (The Gilded Age) have joined the cast.

The second season of Schmigadoon kicks off Friday, April 7 with the first two episodes of the six-episode season. New episodes of the Apple TV+ series will then appear every Friday through May 5.
