School is out for the students of St. Vladimir's. Peacock canceled Vampire Academy so there won't be a second season.

Vampire Academy, a supernatural fantasy drama from executive producers Julie Plec and Marguerite MacIntyre, is based on the series of novels by Richelle Mead.

Starring Sisi Stringer, Daniela Nieves, Kieron Moore, André Dae Kim, Anita-Joy Uwajeh, Mia McKenna-Bruce, Jonetta Kaiser, Andrew Liner, Rhian Blundell and J. August Richards.

The story revolves around the friendship of two young women from very different social classes as they prepare to complete their education and enter vampire society. Lissa Dragomir (Nieves) is a Moroi princess, while Rose Hathaway (Stringer) is a half-vampire Guardian trained to protect against the fierce 'Strigoi' who threaten to tear their society apart.

The Vampire Academy books were previously adapted for a 2014 film of the same name. This series was a reboot and a direct-to-series order was placed in May 2021.

Filming took place in Spain and Portugal, and the series launched in September last year. The ten-episode series ended at the end of October. While Peacock was reportedly pleased with the series' creative direction, it did not attract enough viewers to warrant a second season. It is said that Universal Studio Group is trying to sell the series.

Plec and some of the cast members took to social media to discuss the cancellation news:
