We get a first look at season two of Schmigadoon! in a new trailer released by Apple TV+.



The second season of the musical comedy series starring Cecily Strong and Keegan-Michael Key kicks off Wednesday, April 5 with the first two episodes of a total of six episodes.

After finding true love in the small town of Schmigadoon, season two sees Josh (Key) and Melissa (Strong) find Schmicago, the reinvented world of the 1960s and 1970s musicals.



The second season features new original songs and returning stars Strong, Key, Ariana DeBose, Martin Short, Dove Cameron, Jaime Camil, Kristin Chenoweth, Alan Cumming, Ann Harada, Jane Krakowski, Aaron Tveit and new cast members Tituss Burgess (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) and Patrick Page (The Gilded Age). The series was created by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio.

Schmigadoon! is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group and Broadway Video. Paul serves as showrunner and wrote all of the original songs for the series. Lorne Michaels serves as executive producer. Andrew Singer produces on behalf of Broadway Video with Micah Frank as co-executive producer.



Since its debut, Schmigadoon! won awards at the Emmy Awards and American Film Institute Awards and a Best Supporting Actor nomination for actress Kristin Chenoweth at the Critics Choice Awards.
