Peacock revealed more about the upcoming series in the press release below:

"Twisted Metal, a half-hour live-action television series based on the classic PlayStation game series, is a high-octane action comedy based on an original take by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick and written by Michael Jonathan Smith about an outsider with a big mouth who gets a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a ruthless axe-wielding car thief, he faces savage marauders in destructive vehicles and other hazards on the open road, including a deranged clown in an all-too-familiar ice cream truck."

The series will be released on Thursday 27 July. A new teaser and more pictures of Twisted Metal can be found below.
