The Dertigers (NL) series will soon stop. The fourth and final season can be seen on NPO 3 from Monday 3 July, a BNNVARA spokesperson confirms.

The series focuses on a group of friends of eight people in their thirties. According to the broadcaster, the series will stop at the peak "and everyone is almost 40 in the series", making it a logical end to the series, according to the spokesperson.

So we can expect a fourth season, but after that it's really over. The recordings of the last episodes already started in February. Unfortunately, we do not know what awaits us in the final season, because the actors are still a bit mysterious about it. Of course, we get to see more of the thirties and their recognizable dilemmas about love, friendship and children.

The cast again consists of, among others, Justus van Dillen, Jelle de Jong, Leonoor Koster, Eva Laurenssen, Joy Wielkens, Lykele Muus and Wieger Windhorst.

The ratings of the episodes in the first season were not very high with 250,000 to 400,000 viewers, but the series was mainly a success online. On NPO Start, the two seasons together were streamed almost ten million times.

Dertigers is an adaptation of the successful Flemish series of the same name. The fourth season is directed by Elzelien Peters and Allard Westenbrink. The series is a co-production of Hollands Licht and BNNVARA.
